NCQLP is pleased to announce that Henry L. Green, Hon. AIA, President, National Institute of Building Sciences, will be the speaker at the annual LC Luncheon at Lightfair. The topic of his presentation is: “The Challenges Facing the Built Environment: A Perspective”. The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, authorized by the U.S. Congress to focus on the identification and resolution of problems and potential problems that hamper the construction of safe, affordable structures for housing, commerce and industry throughout the United States. The Institute brings together representatives of government, the professions, industry labor and consumer interests as well as regulatory agencies for candid discussions in support of advancements in building sciences.
Please join the 2011 National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) President, Bernard J. Erickson, LC, and the NCQLP Officers and Board Members in recognizing the new LCs who successfully completed the 2010 Examination. All LCs will be updated on NCQLP activities. Jeffrey D. Schwartz, LC, Examination Committee Chair, will introduce the new LCs in attendance and give the Examination and Certification Renewal Progress Report.
NCQLP encourages you to include the LC Luncheon in your Lightfair plans. It is an excellent opportunity to earn one LEU and talk with your LC colleagues. This luncheon is the largest event at Lightfair and sells out each year so please purchase your tickets as soon as possible at www.lightfair.com
Do stop by the NCQLP Booth, #3911. There you can obtain information on the cities where the LC Examination will be held in 2011. Those who are already LCs should ask for the LC ribbon at the booth. The 2011 print editions of both the LC Candidate Handbook and the Certification Renewal Guidelines will also be distributed at the booth and at the Luncheon.
